EDUKASI TUBERKULOSIS DI TEMPAT KERJA PADA SUATU PERUSAHAAN DISTRIBUSI BESI BAJA DI JAKARTA

Abstract


Abstrak: Populasi pekerja merupakan kelompok yang penting untuk mendapatkan perhatian mengingat jumlahnya yang besar di Indonesia. Tuberkulosis merupakan salah satu penyakit menular yang menjadi salah satu penyebab menurunnya produktifitas kerja. Hasil observasi singkat di PT Panca Logam Sukses Mandiri didapatkan bahwa usaha kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja masih terbatas dan berpotensi untuk ditingkatkan. Tujuan PKM ini yaitu untuk memberikan edukasi terkait penyakit tuberkulosis di lingkungan kerja dan pemeriksaan kesehatan para karyawan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu penyuluhan dan melakukan pretest dan posttest untuk mengukur capaian peningkatan pengetahuan peserta. Edukasi tentang tuberculosis diikuti oleh 42 orang dan 31 orang diberikan soal pretest dan posttest. Hasil PKM ini didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan dari peningkatan hasil rerata pretest 55,91 menjadi 85,39 pada hasil posttest. Persepsi bahwa tuberkulosis merupakan penyakit keturunan dinyatakan oleh 7 karyawan (22.58%); menderita tuberkulosis dan berakibat pada pemutusan hubungan kerja dinyatakan oleh 7 karyawan (22.58%); menderita tuberkulosis dan berakibat pemutusan hubungan kerja dinyatakan oleh 7 karyawan (22.58%). Jumlah karyawan yang memiliki empat gejala tuberkulosis yaitu satu orang dan persepsi terkait perasaan malu bila terkena yaitu 4 orang. Pengetahuan terkait tuberkulosis juga masih dapat ditindaklanjuti pada penekanan pemahaman yang tepat. Hasil dapat ditindaklanjuti dalam edukasi TB ini, melakukan rujukan untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan pada kedua karyawan tersebut.

Abstract: Working population in Indonesia is an important group to receive attention considering its large quantity. Tuberculosis as infectious disease is one cause of decreasing working productivity The results of brief observations at PT Panca Logam Sukses Mandiri show that occupational health and safety efforts are still limited and have the potential to be improved. The aim of this community services is to provide education regarding tuberculosis in the work place setting and health check up for employees. The method used is health education and conducting pre- and post-tests to measure the achievement of increasing participants' knowledge. The results of this PKM obtained an increase in knowledge from an increase in the average pretest result from 55.91 to 85.39 in the post-test results. The perception that tuberculosis is a hereditary disease expressed by 7 employees (22.58%); suffering from tuberculosis and resulting in termination of employment stated by 7 employees (22.58%); suffering from tuberculosis and resulting in termination of employment stated by 7 employees (22.58%). The number of employees who have four symptoms of tuberculosis is one person and the perception related to feelings of shame if exposed was 4 people. Knowledge related to tuberculosis can also still be followed up by emphasizing proper understanding. Things that can also be done as a follow-up in TB education include making referrals.
