Abstract

Abstract: Hemorrhoids, also known as piles, are a common disorder characterized by swelling in the anal region. The expansion of veins or weakening of the anal wall typically causes this condition. Indonesia is projected to have 21.3 million people with hemorrhoids by 2030. Regrettably, there has been a lack of public awareness about the issue. This project aims to enhance health workers' knowledge and contribute positively to promoting a clean and healthy lifestyle to avoid the occurrence of hemorrhoids. This project is given with an educational style. The partners of this program are the health workers of AMC Hospital Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, with a total of 30 people. The results showed an average pre-test knowledge score increase of 5.1 and a post-test rise of 8.2. This program aims to motivate all health workers and the community to maintain clean and healthy habits to reduce hemorrhoid symptoms.
