PENINGKATAN KUALITAS HIDUP MELALUI SKRINING TUBERCULOSIS PARU DAN PEMERIKSAAN KESEHATAN RUTIN

Abstract


Abstrak: Tuberkulosis (TB) paru merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan utama di Indonesia dengan angka kematian yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, skrining TB paru sangatlah penting. Namun angka penemuan kasus baru TB paru mengalami penurunan khususnya di Kota Semarang. Tujuan dari layanan ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi orang-orang yang berisiko tinggi terkena TBC paru sehingga dapat segera dilakukan tindakan lebih lanjut. Pengabdian dilakukan oleh tim Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Islam Sultan Agung dengan menggunakan teknik edukasi dan wawancara medis mengenai tanda dan gejala tuberkulosis paru. Peserta diberikan pertanyan secara lisan setelah dilakukan edukasi untuk memastikan peserta sudah memahami materi yang disampaikan. Setelah itu dilakukan pemeriksaan kesehatan meliputi tekanan darah, pengukuran fisik, kadar glukosa darah acak (GDS), kadar kolesterol total, dan kadar asam urat. Sebanyak 166 orang mengikuti kegiatan ini. Dari hasil pengabdian tersebut, ditemukan 10 peserta yang berisiko tinggi terkena tuberkulosis paru. Peserta yang berisiko tinggi terkena tuberkulosis paru akan dirujuk ke fasilitas kesehatan terdekat untuk evaluasi lebih lanjut.

Abstract: Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is one of the main health problems in Indonesia with a high mortality rate. Therefore, pulmonary TB screening is very important. However, the rate of discovery of new cases of pulmonary TB has decreased, especially in the city of Semarang. The aim of this service is to identify people who are at high risk of developing pulmonary TB so that further action can be taken immediately. The service was carried out by the Faculty of Medicine team at Sultan Agung Islamic University using educational techniques and medical interviews regarding the signs and symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis. After that, a health examination was carried out including blood pressure, physical measurements, random blood glucose levels (RBG), total cholesterol levels and uric acid levels. A total of 166 people took part in this activity. From the results of this service, it was found that 10 participants were at high risk of developing pulmonary tuberculosis. Participants who are at high risk of developing pulmonary tuberculosis will be referred to the nearest health facility for further evaluation.
