PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN “NATURAL SOAP BAR” UNTUK MENGATASI MASALAH KESEHATAN KULIT DI PONDOK PESANTREN X BARITO KUALA

Abstract


Abstrak: Beberapa masalah Kesehatan pada kulit seperti panu, kulit kering, jerawat, hingga eksim atopik sering dialami oleh santri yang berada di lingkungan pondok pesantren yang umumnya disebabkan karena sumber air yang digunakan untuk mandi, cuci, kakus (MCK) kurang bersih seperti yang dialami santri di Pondok pesantren X di Barito Kuala. Salah satu Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi masalah ini yaitu dengan penggunaan sabun-sabun herbal yang memiliki berbagai macam khasiat. Santri diajarkan untuk membuat sabun herbal dengan bahan-bahan sederhana yang mengandung ekstrak bahan alam berkhasiat. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hard skill dan soft skill para santri yaitu dengan mampu bekerja sama dalam membuat sabun herbal yang dapat menjadi salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi masalah Kesehatan kulit serta meningkatkan pengetahun santri terkait cara menjaga kesehatan Kulit. Pengabdian diikuti oleh 50 santri SMA pondok pesantren X yang diawali dengan menjawab pre-test yang dilanjutkan dengan pemberian edukasi tentang bakteri penyebab masalah kulit dan kewirausahaan serta pelatihan pembuatan sabun herbal dan ditutup dengan post-test. Hasil dari program ini yaitu mitra memperoleh pengetahuan tentang kesehatan kulit yang ditunjukkan dari peningkatan skor rata-rata sebesar 64,25% dari pre-test ke post-test, dan memperoleh keterampilan pembuatan sabun herbal yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif terapi untuk masalah kesehatan kulit.

Abstract: Various skin health issues such as tinea versicolor, dry skin, acne, and atopic eczema are often experienced by students in X Islamic boarding schools due to the poor cleanliness of water sources used for bathing, washing, and sanitation. One of the efforts to address this issue is the use of herbal soaps, which have various beneficial properties. Students are taught to make natural soaps using simple ingredients containing extracts of beneficial natural substances. This training aims to enhance the hard and soft skills of the students by enabling them to collaborate in making natural soaps, which can be a solution for skin health issues and to increase their knowledge on maintaining skin health. The program involved 50 high school students from Islamic boarding school X, starting with a pre-test, followed by education on bacteria causing skin problems and entrepreneurship, as well as training on herbal soap making, and concluded with a post-test. The results of this program showed that the participants gained knowledge about skin health, evidenced by a 64.25% increase in the average score from pre-test to post-test, and acquired skills in making herbal soaps that can be used as an alternative therapy for skin health issues.
