EDUKASI EMOSI REMAJA: TEKNIK REGULASI EMOSI BUTTERFLY HUG SEBAGAI SOLUSI MENINGKATKAN BELAS KASIH DIRI SISWA

Abstract


Abstrak: Remaja banyak mengalami tekanan sosial dari lingkungan, tuntutan akademik dan adanya perubahan yang signifikan baik dari aspek fisik maupun psikologis. Keadaan yang demikian, ditambah dengan perubahan emosional yang dirasakan remaja dapat membuat remaja rentan melakukan hal-hal yang berisiko seperti self-harm. Untuk mengatasi emosi-emosi negatif, remaja terlebih dahulu harus memberikan kepedulian dan pemahaman pada diri sendiri saat menghadapi permasalahan dan tekanan yang terjadi melalui sikap belas kasih terhadap diri sendiri. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini ialah meningkatkan belas kasih diri siswa melalui Butterfly Hug. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di SMP Fastabiqul Khairat Samarinda dan diikuti 185 siswa, metode yang digunakan ialah pemaparan materi, praktek, uji pre-test dan uji post-test. Terdapat peningkatan signifikan belas kasih diri siswa dari hasil uji beda yang dilakukan sebesar 0.008 > 0.05. Perbedaan yang signifikan, menandakan bahwa teknik ini dapat membantu siswa mengelola emosi mereka dengan lebih baik dan dapat mengelola emosinya secara lebih adaptif.

Abstract: Adolescents often experience social pressure from their environment, academic demands, and significant changes in both physical and psychological aspects. These circumstances, combined with the emotional changes that adolescents feel, can make them vulnerable to engaging in risky behaviors such as self-harm. To cope with negative emotions, adolescents must first cultivate self-care and understanding when facing problems and pressures, through self-compassion. The aim of this service project is to enhance students' self-compassion through the Butterfly Hug technique. This activity was conducted at SMP Fastabiqul Khairat Samarinda and involved 185 students. The methods used included material presentation, practice, pre-test, and post-test evaluations. There was a significant increase in students' self-compassion, as indicated by the results of the difference test, which showed a value of 0.008 > 0.05. The significant difference indicates that this technique can help students manage their emotions more effectively and adaptively.
