PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PENINGKATAN AKSES PANGAN BERGIZI MELALUI BUDIDAYA LELE DAN KANGKUNG

Abstract


Abstrak: Pemberdayaan masyarakat sangat penting untuk meningkatkan akses ke makanan bergizi dan mengatasi kekurangan gizi. Proyek pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan mitra melakukan budidaya ikan lele dan kangkung dalam ember (Budikdamber ) di, Kabupaten Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat. Program ini melibatkan 100 peserta, sebagian besar perempuan dengan usia rata-rata 45 tahun dan pendidikan sekolah dasar. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi persiapan, pelaksanaan (ToT, pelatihan, dan pembagian paket Budikdamber), pendampingan, keberlanjutan program, dan evaluasi keberhasilan. Evaluasi keberhasilan dilakukan dengan pemberian kuesioner pre test dan post test serta observasi adopsi program. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan skor pengetahuan mitra dari 32 (pre test) menjadi 6,97 (post test). Mitra juga telah mampu membudidayakan ikan lele dan kangkung dalam ember dengan bukti setiap ember menghasilkan 8-12 kg lele setelah 1,5 hingga 2 bulan. Pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui Budikdamber secara efektif dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemmapuan mitra dalam membudidayakan ikan lele dan kangkung dalam ember sehingga diharapkan terjadi peningkatan akses terhadap pangan bergizi secara berkelanjutan. Peningkatan ekonomi lebih lanjut dapat dicapai dengan mengolah produk Budikdamber menjadi makanan bernilai tambah seperti japilus dan nugget. Proyek ini didanai oleh DRTPM Kemendikbud Ristek melalui skema Pemberdayaan Desa Binaan (PDB) dan didukung oleh LP2M-PMP UNSIL

Abstract: Community empowerment is crucial for improving access to nutritious food and addressing malnutrition. This community service project aimed to improve knowledge and adoption program the cultivation of catfish and water spinach in buckets (Budikdamber) in Tasikmalaya, West Java province. The project involved 100 participants, predominantly women with an average age of 45 years and primary school education. The program phases included preparation, implementation (training of trainers, Budikdamber training, and distribution of Budikdamber packages), mentoring, program sustainability, and evaluation of success. Evaluation of success was carried out by administering pre-test and post-test questionnaires as well as observing program adoption. The results of the service showed that there was an increase in the partner knowledge score from 32 (pretest) to 6.97 (posttest). Partners have also been able to cultivate catfish and water spinach in buckets, with evidence that each bucket produces 8-12 kg of catfish after 1.5 to 2 months Community empowerment through Budikdamber can effectively increase the knowledge and abilities of partners in cultivating catfish and water spinach in buckets so that it is hoped that there will be increased access to nutritious food in a sustainable manner. Further economic improvement can be achieved by processing Budikdamber products into value-added foods such as japilus and nuggets.The project was funded by the DRTPM Kemendikbud Ristek through the Fostered Village Empowerment (PDB) scheme and supported by LP2M-PMP UNSIL.
