PENINGKATAN MANAJEMEN KESEHATAN PENDERITA HIPERTENSI MELALUI OPTIMALISASI PERAN KADER KOMPETEN
Abstract
Abstrak: Hipertensi masih menjadi permasalahan global dan menjadi prioritas untuk ditangani. Angka kejadian hipertensi di Kecamatan Yosowilangun, Kabupaten Lumajang masisih tergolong tinggi. Masalah kesehatan terkait dengan hipertensi yang diidentifikasi di wilayah Kecamatan Yosowilangun yaitu rendahnya manajemen kesehatan penderita hipertensi. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan manajemen kesehatan penderita hipertensi, berfokus pada pengetahuan tentang perilaku yang dapat mendorong kontrol tekanan darah, melalui pembentukan dan optimalisasi peran kader hipertensi dalam Support Group. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 20 kader hipertensi dan 60 penderita hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Yosowilangun Kabupaten Lumajang. Beberapa program yang dilaksanakan pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu: (1) pemeriksaan kesehatan; (2) pelatihan kader hipertensi dan pembentukan Support Group Komunitas Peduli Hipertensi (KOMPETEN); dan (3) pemberian edukasi dan pelatihan pada penderita hipertensi mengenai pentingnya aktivitas fisik dan pengolahan bahan makanan untuk mengontrol tekanan darah. Keberhasilan program dievaluasi dari peningkatan skor pengetahuan kader dan penderita hipertensi setelah pemberian edukasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kesadaran kader (95%) serta penderita hipertensi (77,5%) mengenai manajemen kesehatan melalui peran Support Group, yaitu KOMPETEN. Selain itu, program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini berhasil membentuk dan mengoptimalkan peran Support Group untuk meningkatkan manajemen kesehatan penderita hipertensi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Yosowilangun, Kabupaten Lumajang.
Abstract: Hypertension remains a global issue and a priority to be addressed. The prevalence of hypertension in the Yosowilangun Subdistrict, Lumajang is relatively high. The health problem related to hypertension identified in the Yosowilangun Subdistrict is the inadequate health management of hypertension patients. This community service activity aims to improve the health management of hypertension patients, focusing on knowledge about behaviors that can promote blood pressure control, through the establishment and optimization of the role of hypertension cadres in Support Groups. This activity involves 20 hypertension cadres and 60 hypertension patients in the working area of Yosowilangun Public Health Center, Lumajang Regency. The programs implemented in this community service activity include: (1) health screenings; (2) training for hypertension cadres and the establishment of the Hypertension Care Community (KOMPETEN); and (3) providing education and training for hypertension patients on the importance of physical activity and food preparation to control blood pressure. The success of the program is evaluated based on the increase in knowledge scores of hypertension cadres and patients after receiving health education. Evaluation results show increased knowledge and awareness among cadres (95%) and hypertension patients (77,5%) regarding health management through the Support Group's role, KOMPETEN. In addition, this community service program successfully established and optimized the Support Group's role in improving the health management of hypertension patients in the Yosowilangun Community Health Center area, Lumajang.
