Abstract

Abstract: Early mobilization is an intervention that involves moving as early as possible to accelerate recovery and prevent post-operative complications, starting from the hospital and continuing at home. Community service aims to provide knowledge and improve patients' ability to mobilize as early as possible. This activity involves 10 post-operative patients and their families in the Surgical Ward of a hospital. The method used was to provide information through education, demonstrations, and redemonstrations of early mobilization actions for post-operative patients, targeting both 10 patients and their families. The results showed an increase in knowledge from 57% to 100%, and patients were able to perform early mobilization independently with minimal assistance. The outcomes of health education demonstrate a noteworthy influence on enhancing patients' understanding and proficiency concerning the need of prompt mobilisation following surgery. Through this activity, it is important to provide modules that can serve as a guide for patients and families at home. Family involvement is a crucial point for accelerating recovery.
