Abstract: Depression in pregnant women is a serious problem that needs to be resolved immediately because it impacts the mother's health and fetal development. Factors that cause depression are genetic factors, physiological and hormonal changes during pregnancy, a history of previous psychological illness, and psychosocial and household problems. The aim of this activity is for Posyandu cadres to be able to carry out initial maternal mental health screening, and for the community, especially pregnant women, to understand the importance of maternal mental health. This educational activity method begins by giving pre-test questions to 8 pregnant women and 2 cadres and conducting SDQ or SRQ-29 screening on pregnant women, then providing education for 30 minutes using booklets and educational videos. The evaluation was conducted by administering a post-test. The average post-test score was 78.75, which was higher than the average pre-test score of 68.75, and the average post-test score of cadres was 80, which was higher than the average post-test score of 70. Health workers need to improve promotive and preventive efforts, such as continuous mental health education and screening, to identify mental health disorders in mothers.
