PROMOSI KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI REMAJA MELALUI PENDIDIKAN BERBASIS SEKOLAH
Abstract
Abstract: Reproductive health is an important aspect that must be understood by adolescents, particularly senior high school students who are experiencing physical, emotional, and social development. Reproductive health education aims to prevent risky behaviors such as unplanned pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and the psychological impacts of unsafe sexual practices. This community service activity was carried out as part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through reproductive health counseling for high school students on March 6, 2025, involving 21 students from Grade XII in the science program. The methods included a needs assessment through interviews with school counselors, face-to-face counseling sessions covering the reproductive system, STI prevention, and reproductive health maintenance, case study discussions, the creation of educational media in the form of posters and videos, and evaluation of participants’ understanding through Q&A sessions. The results showed an increase in students’ understanding of the importance of maintaining reproductive health and avoiding risky behaviors. A total of 85% of participants reported improved comprehension, and 90% considered the program beneficial. The activity also encouraged the involvement of parents, schools, and the use of digital media in delivering more open and accurate information. Through this program, adolescents are expected to become more responsible in maintaining reproductive health and capable of building a healthier and higher-quality future.
