PENINGKATAN LITERASI EKONOMI GLOBAL DAN KESADARAN PERAN PEMUDA DALAM PEMBANGUNAN BERKELANJUTAN DI KOTA PALEMBANG

Abstract


Abstrak: Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan literasi ekonomi global dan kesadaran peran siswa sebagai pemuda dalam mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Atas. Tantangan era globalisasi menuntut generasi muda memiliki pemahaman yang komprehensif tentang isu-isu ekonomi internasional dan dampaknya terhadap pembangunan lokal-berkelanjutan. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan meliputi ceramah interaktif, diskusi kelompok terarah serta evaluasi melalui 10 soal pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Peserta kegiatan adalah 31 siswa kelas XI jurusan IPS. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor pemahaman sebesar 35% pada materi literasi ekonomi global dan 42% pada materi SDGs, yang diverifikasi melalui perbandingan skor pre-test dan post-test. Hal ini mengindikasikan keberhasilan program dalam menanamkan kesadaran kritis dan sense of agency pada siswa untuk berpartisipasi aktif dalam mewujudkan pembangunan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract: This community service program aims to enhance students’ global economic literacy and awareness of their role as youth in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at SMA Negeri 14 Palembang. The challenges of globalization require young generations to possess a comprehensive understanding of international economic issues and their implications for local and sustainable development. The implementation methods included interactive lectures, focused group discussions, and evaluations through pre-test and post-test assessments to measure participants’ improvement in understanding. The participants consisted of 31 students from grade XI in the social sciences program. The results of the program indicate an average increase of 35% in understanding of global economic literacy and 42% in understanding of the SDGs, as verified through comparative analysis of pre-test and post-test scores. These findings demonstrate the program’s effectiveness in fostering critical awareness and a sense of agency among students to actively participate in realizing inclusive and sustainable development.
