EDUKASI HIV BERBASIS SEKOLAH UNTUK PENCEGAHAN PERILAKU BERISIKO PADA REMAJA
Abstract
Abstract: Adolescents are a vulnerable group for HIV transmission due to limited knowledge and the persistence of risky attitudes and behaviors. This community service program aimed to enhance knowledge, attitudes, and HIV preventive behaviors among adolescents through school-based education. The program was conducted through health education sessions and interactive discussions involving 240 students as program partners. Evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire assessing knowledge, attitudes, and HIV-related preventive behaviors after the activity, consisting of 61 questions. The results indicated that 52.5% of participants had good knowledge, 58.8% demonstrated positive attitudes toward HIV prevention, and 84.6% reported good preventive behaviors. These findings suggest that school-based HIV education contributes to improved health literacy and supports the reduction of risky behaviors among adolescents. This program has the potential to serve as a promotive and preventive model for HIV education in school settings.
