STRATEGI MENUJU SEKOLAH ZERO BULLYING PADA SISWA SMK
Abstract
Abstract: Bullying is a serious problem in the school environment that affects students' mental health, academic achievement, and social relationships. This phenomenon is still found in vocational high schools in various forms, including verbal, physical, and cyberbullying. Therefore, interventions are needed that are not only curative but also preventive through an empathy-based approach. This community service activity aims to improve students’ understanding and empathy as an effort to achieve a zero-bullying school. The methods used include educational sessions, experiential learning-based training, and the establishment of an anti-bullying student community through a peer advocacy approach. The evaluation was conducted using a pre-test and post-test design with 17 items administered to 89 students. The results showed an increase in the mean score from 73.33 in the pre-test to 86.67 in the post-test, with an improvement in understanding from 43% to 65%. In addition, a decrease in standard deviation indicated that students’ understanding became more evenly distributed. The program also enhanced students’ social skills, including empathy, assertive communication, and perspective-taking abilities. This activity had a positive impact on increasing students’ awareness and prosocial behavior and serves as an initial step toward creating a safe and bullying-free school environment.
