MINDFULNESS PARENTING DAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TERHADAP STRES PENGASUHAN IBU BEKERJA DI DINAS KESEHATAN KOTA DENPASAR
Abstract
Abstract: Working mothers in the health sector often shoulder a dual burden that triggers parenting stress. Employing a quantitative methodology, the investigation adopted an ex post facto correlational framework. From a population of 521 employees distributed across 13 work units, 227 working mothers raising children between 2 and 6 years of age were selected through proportionate quota sampling using the Slovin formula. Three measurement tools were administered: the Mindfulness in Parenting Questionnaire (MIPQ), a social support questionnaire derived from House's (1981) framework, and the Indonesian adaptation of the Parental Stress Scale (PSS). The findings revealed that mindfulness parenting was significantly and negatively related to parenting stress (β = −0.037; sig. = 0.007), as was social support (β = −0.041; sig. = 0.035); jointly, both variables were significantly related to parenting stress (F = 1.141; sig. = 0.014; R² = 0.530) with an effective contribution of 53%. The findings underscore the importance of designing employee welfare initiatives that integrate mindfulness parenting training with the reinforcement of social support networks as a strategy to alleviate parenting stress among working mothers.
