Abstract

Abstract: Early marriage remains a social problem in Tobadak Village, Central Mamuju, as it affects educational continuity, adolescent health, and human resource quality. This activity aimed to improve students’ understanding of the risks of early marriage and motivate students to pursue higher education. The educational socialization program was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Tobadak, involving 60 students from grades 10, 11, and 12. The program included initial observation and coordination with the school, material preparation, interactive lectures, discussions, visual media, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test instruments. A total of 48 students completed both evaluation instruments. Students’ understanding was assessed based on the number of correct answers, with a score range of 0–3: low (0–1), moderate (2), and high (3). The score increased from 1.94 to 2.71, representing an improvement of approximately 40%. This increase indicates a shift in students’ understanding from the moderate category toward the high category after the socialization activity.
