HEALTHY WORKPLACE MOVEMENT: SKRINING DAN EDUKASI KELUHAN MUSKULOSKELETAL PADA KARYAWAN
Abstract
Abstract: Musculoskeletal disorders are among the most common occupational health problems experienced by workers due to prolonged static postures, repetitive activities, and inadequate ergonomic practices. These conditions may reduce comfort, work capacity, and productivity if preventive measures are not implemented at an early stage. This community service program aimed to improve employees’ knowledge of musculoskeletal health and workplace ergonomics and to identify musculoskeletal complaints through screening using the Nordic Body Map (NBM). The program involved 32 employees of PT Cakra Manggilingan Jaya and consisted of occupational health education, musculoskeletal complaint screening, and workplace stretching practice. Knowledge evaluation was conducted using a pre-test and post-test comprising 10 questions related to musculoskeletal health and workplace ergonomics. The success indicator of the program was defined as an improvement in participants’ knowledge scores following the educational intervention. The results showed that the mean knowledge score increased from 58.4 in the pre-test to 81.2 in the post-test, representing an increase of 22.8 points. The NBM screening revealed that musculoskeletal complaints were most frequently reported in the lower back (75%), neck (62%), and shoulder (56%) regions. All participants completed the entire program and actively participated in the workplace stretching session. The Healthy Workplace Movement program was effective in improving employees’ knowledge of musculoskeletal health and workplace ergonomics and may serve as a promotive and preventive strategy to reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders in the workplace.
