OPTIMALISASI PENGGUNAAN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE UNTUK MENDUKUNG PERANCANGAN PEMBELAJARAN INOVATIF BAGI GURU SMA
Abstract
Abstract: Teachers' limited ability to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) in a pedagogical, critical, and ethical manner remains a challenge in designing innovative instruction. This community service initiative aimed to enhance the competence of high school teachers in utilising AI to develop instructional materials. The intervention was delivered through training, workshops, practical exercises, and mentorship to 35 high school teachers from Jombang Regency. The evaluation was carried out via the use of pre-tests and post-tests, product evaluation, engagement observation, and reflection of participants. Out of 35 participants, 22 had full pre- and post-test data for the paired evaluation analysis. From the data obtained, there has been an increase in the mean knowledge score from 97.50 to 99.09, which is a total increase of 1.59. The competence index increased from 79.66% to 87.84%, which is an increase of 8.18%. The biggest increase was seen in the creation of good prompts where the score increased from 73.86% to 86.36%, which is an increase of 12.50%. From all the above information, it can be concluded that the program improved the competence of teachers in creating AI-assisted instructional materials.
