Abstract

Abstrak:Pendidikan nonformal melalui Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat (PKBM) berperan penting melayani peserta didik putus sekolah, namun PKBM Sinergi Berdaya di Muara Badak, Kutai Kartanegara (192 peserta didik, 11 tutor) belum memiliki layanan Bimbingan dan Konseling (BK) yang terstruktur. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan membentuk unit BK fungsional, melatih 11 tutor sebagai konselor dasar, dan menerapkan instrumen deteksi dini peserta didik berisiko putus sekolah melalui model MoLAK Nonformal yang didukung inovasi Kursi Terapi. Kompetensi konselor dievaluasi menggunakan rubrik observasi (skala 0–100) melalui simulasi kasus pra dan pasca pelatihan; dampak program dievaluasi dari data kehadiran dan catatan putus sekolah pada buku presensi dan buku induk PKBM, dibandingkan antara periode pendampingan (Maret–Agustus 2026) dan periode enam bulan sebelumnya (September 2025–Februari 2026). Hasil menunjukkan 9 dari 11 tutor (81,8%) mencapai skor kompetensi ≥75/100 (rerata naik dari 52,4 menjadi 79,6); instrumen deteksi dini memetakan 34 dari 192 peserta didik (17,7%) berisiko, dengan 21 kasus tertangani secara internal, 9 kasus masih dalam pendampingan aktif, dan 4 kasus dirujuk ke Puskesmas/Dinas Sosial; tingkat kehadiran rata-rata meningkat dari 78% menjadi 89%; serta tidak tercatat kasus putus sekolah baru selama periode pendampingan, dibandingkan 14 kasus pada periode pembanding. Karena evaluasi ini belum menggunakan desain pembanding (kontrol), temuan tersebut merupakan indikasi awal, bukan bukti kausal, bahwa penguatan layanan BK berkontribusi terhadap kehadiran dan pencegahan putus sekolah.

Abstract: Non-formal education through Community Learning Centers (PKBM) plays a vital role in serving dropout students, yet PKBM Sinergi Berdaya in Muara Badak, Kutai Kartanegara (192 students, 11 tutors) lacked a structured Guidance and Counseling (BK) unit. This service program aimed to establish a functional BK unit, train 11 tutors as basic counselors, and implement an early-detection instrument for dropout risk through the MoLAK Nonformal model supported by a Therapy Chair innovation. Counselor competency was evaluated using an observation rubric (0–100 scale) via case simulations before and after training; program impact was evaluated from attendance and dropout records in PKBM's daily logs and student roster, comparing the mentoring period (March–August 2026) with the preceding six months (September 2025–February 2026). Results (practice data) show 9 of 11 tutors (81.8%) reached a competency score ≥75/100 (mean rising from 52.4 to 79.6); the early-detection instrument identified 34 of 192 students (17.7%) as at risk, with 21 cases handled internally, 9 cases still under active mentoring, and 4 cases referred to the public health center/social service office; average attendance rose from 78% to 89%; and no new dropout case was recorded during the mentoring period, compared with 14 cases in the preceding period. As this evaluation did not use a comparison (control) design, these findings are an early indication, not causal evidence, that strengthening BK services contributes to attendance and dropout prevention.
