PEMBERDAYAAN KADER POSYANDU DALAM MEMBUAT OLAHAN DAUN KATUK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKSI ASI SEBAGAI UPAYA MENURUNKAN STUNTING

Abstract

Abstrak: Pemberdayaan kader posyandu merupakan metode atau teknik untuk meningkatkan kesadaran diri tentang pentingnya nilai dan kebutuhan untuk mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan melalui peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Daun katuk merupakan tanaman yang telah lama dikenal ibu menyusui untuk membantu meningkatkan produksi ASI karena mengandung papaverin, yaitu suatu alkaloid yang dapat mendukung produksi ASI. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yaitu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu dalam membuat olahan dari daun katuk untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI dan sebagai upaya menurunkan stunting. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian kepada masyarakat berbasis riset aksi, melalui kegiatan pelatihan membuat berbagai macam olahan dari daun katuk. Sasaran pelatihan yaitu 40 kader posyandu Desa Martopuro. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan peserta saat pre-test sebesar 65% baik dan post-test sebesar 95% baik. Hasil pelatihan untuk nilai keterampilan, saat pre-test sebesar 58% baik dan post-test sebesar 82% baik. Kesimpulan pelatihan membuat olahan daun katuk berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader posyandu tentang cara membuat berbagai macam olahan dari daun katuk sehingga dapat membantu ibu menyusui meningkatkan produksi ASI sebagai upaya menurunkan stunting.

Abstract: Empowerment of integrated service post cadres is a method or technique to increase self-awareness about the importance of values and the need to achieve the expected goals through increased knowledge and skills. Katuk leaves are plants that have long been known by nursing mothers to help increase milk production because they contain papaverine, an alkaloid that can support milk production. The purpose of community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of integrated service post cadres in making preparations from katuk leaves to increase milk production and as an effort to reduce stunting. The method used in research-based community service through training activities is to make various preparations for katuk leaves. The target of the training is service post cadres. The results of the training showed that the participants' knowledge during the pre-test was 65% good and the post-test was 95% good. The results of the training for skill scores, when the pre-test was 58% good and the post-test was 82% good. The conclusion of the training on making processed katuk leaves has succeeded in increasing the knowledge and skills of integrated service post cadres on how to make various kinds of preparations from katuk leaves so that they can help to breastfeed mothers and increase milk production as an effort to reduce stunting.
