PENGGUNAAN AI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PEMAHAMAN MIND MAPPING SISWA
Abstract
Abstrak: Mind Mapping sangat membantu para siswa untuk mendapatkan kata-kata baru. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan kepada siswa AI mindmapping yaitu Whimsical, serta diharapkan dapat meningkatkan softskill dan hardskill peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan yaitu sosialisasi kepada para siswa tentang bagaimana penggunaan AI Whimsical. Siswa yang dilibatkan dalam kegiatan PKM ini berjumlah 32 orang kelas XI jurusan Akuntansi. Selain melalui observasi, siswa juga diberikan pretest dan posttest untuk mengevaluasi pemahaman siswa tentang mindmapping. Rata-rata persentase untuk pre-test dari keempat kategori adalah 35.75%, sedangkan rata-rata persentase untuk post-test adalah 65.77%. Secara keseluruhan hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran vocabulary memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kosakata siswa pada semua kategori yang diuji.
Abstract: Mind Mapping is very helpful for students to get new words. This service aims to introduce AI mindmapping students, namely Whimsical. The method used is socialization to students about how to use AI. The students involved in this community service activity amounted to 32 people. In addition to observation, students are also given a pretest and posttest to evaluate students' understanding of mindmapping. The average percentage for the pre-test of the four categories was 35.75%, while the average percentage for the post-test was 65.77%. Overall, the results show that the use of AI in vocabulary learning has a positive impact on improving students' vocabulary mastery in all categories tested.
