PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI TEPAT GUNA UNTUK PRODUKSI KAPSUL KOMBINASI KUNYIT (CURCUMA LONGA L.) DAN LADA HITAM (PIPER NIGRI L.) SEBAGAI HEPATOPROTEKTOR
Abstract
Abstrak: Hepatitis adalah masalah kesehatan yang dapat menyebabkan inflamasi hati. Kerusakan hati dapat dicegah menggunakan senyawa hepatoprotektor, yang berfungsi memperbaiki jaringan hati dengan mekanisme antioksidan. Kombinasi kunyit dan lada hitam terbukti memiliki aktivitas hepatoprotektor. Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG) pembuatan kapsul kombinasi ini menawarkan solusi sederhana untuk mencegah kerusakan hati, termasuk mengurangi efek samping obat tuberkulosis. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi dan keterampilan kepada mitra dalam pembuatan kapsul kombinasi kunyit dan lada hitam sebagai hepatoprotektor, guna meningkatkan pemahaman dan pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna untuk kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan pada pengabdian ini adalah ceramah dan diskusi dengan mitra DKM yang terdiri dari 26 orang. Hasil dari analisis data statistik yang diolah menggunakan metode Paired Samples T Test memperlihatkan perbedaan yang signifikan, dengan nilai Sig.(2-tailed) pada hasil pengujian sebesar 0,000 (<0,05) menunjukan peningkatan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pembuatan sediaan kapsul kombinasi kunyit-lada hitam yang mempunyai aktivitas sebagai hepatoprotektor, berdasarkan hasil evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test.
Abstract: Hepatitis is a health issue that can lead to liver inflammation. Liver damage can be prevented using hepatoprotective compounds, which function to repair liver tissue through antioxidant mechanisms. A combination of turmeric and black pepper has been shown to possess hepatoprotective activity. The Appropriate Technology (TTG) for creating these combination capsules offers a simple solution to prevent liver damage, including reducing the side effects of tuberculosis medications. This activity aims to provide education and skills to partners in the preparation of turmeric and black pepper combination capsules as hepatoprotectors, in order to enhance understanding and utilization of appropriate technology for health. The method used in this community service is lectures and discussions with DKM partners, consisting of 26 people. The results of statistical data analysis, processed using the Paired Samples T Test method, showed a significant difference, with a Sig.(2-tailed) value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating an improvement in the community's understanding of the preparation of turmeric-black pepper combination capsules with hepatoprotective activity, based on the evaluation results from the pre-test and post-test.
