PENDAMPINGAN PENCEGAHAN TUBERCULOSIS PADA ANAK SEKOLAH MELALUI EDUKASI DAN TOSS TBC

Abstract


Abstrak: Kasus TBC di tahun 2022 dianggap sebagai angka tertinggi sejak TBC menjadi program prioritas nasional. Sebanyak 969.000 kasus di tahun 2022 dan angka ini meningkat 17%. Anak merupakan kelompok rentan untuk terkena TBC. Banyak studi menunjukan efektivitas program edukasi kesehatan berbasis sekolah dalam upaya pencegahan penyakit menular pada anak. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan upaya pencegahan TBC dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan anak tentang TBC dan praktik etika. Pendampingan dilakukan kepada 29 siswa dan siswi kelas 4-6 salah satu SD terpilih di Kota Pekalongan Kegiatan terdiri dari edukasi, pembuatan prakarya berupa gambar bertema TBC beserta penjelasannya. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, dinamika kelompok dan role play. Kampanye TOSS TBC yang melibatkan tenaga kesehatan, guru dan siswa. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan anak tentang TBC secara bermakna dari nilai rerata pre-test 3,62 menjadi 7,07 pada post-test. Sesudah kegiatan, anak sekolah dapat mempraktikan etika batuk dengan tepat sebanyak 75,6%.

Abstract: TB cases in 2022 are considered the highest number since TB became a national priority program. As many as 969,000 cases in 2022 and this figure has increased by 17%. Children are a vulnerable group to contract TB. Many studies have shown the effectiveness of school-based health education programs in efforts to prevent infectious diseases in children. The purpose of this activity is to increase TB prevention efforts by increasing children's knowledge about TB and ethical practices. Mentoring was carried out for 29 male and female students in grades 4-6 of elementary school 1 Bandengan Pekalongan City. Activities consisted of education, making crafts in the form of TB-themed pictures along with explanations. The methods used were lectures, discussions, questions and answers, group dynamics and role play. TOSS TB campaign involving health workers, teachers and students. There was a significant increase in children's knowledge about TB from an average pre-test score of 3.62 to 7.07 in the post-test. After the activity, school children were able to practice cough etiquette correctly increased until 75,6%.
