MENJAGA KESEHATAN DAN KEBUGARAN KARDIORESPIRASI MELALUI PEMERIKSAAN KOMPREHENSIF SEBAGAI UPAYA PREVENTIF HIPERTENSI
Abstract
Abstract: Cardiorespiratory fitness examinations are an effort to improve health and early detection of heart disease, including hypertension, in the community. Considering that hypertension is a lifetime risk disease and a silent killer, early detection activities are essential to reduce the risk of death due to complications. This Community Service Activity (CSA) aims to conduct health checks and cardiorespiratory fitness levels in the community, especially the young age group. This activity is carried out using the health check method (anamnesis, resting pulse rate, and blood pressure (BP)) and cardiorespiratory fitness checks by measuring the Maximum Oxygen Volume (VO₂ max) value. The partners in this CSA activity are a group of young men (aged 19-22 years) totaling 12 people in Banda Aceh. Evaluation of blood pressure examination results is normal if the systolic value is <120 mmHg and diastolic <80 mmHg. The results show that twelve people have normal blood pressure and pulse. The VO2max value shows that one person (8.33%) has good cardiorespiratory fitness, and ten people (83.34%) have cardiorespiratory fitness in the sufficient category. It was found that one person (8.33%) had poor cardiorespiratory fitness, and we have recommended further examination to health services. We suggest that regular cardiorespiratory fitness monitoring is needed, and public education is also needed about the importance of conducting cardiorespiratory examinations and physical activity to reduce the risk of hypertension.
