PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG FAKTOR RISIKO DAN FAKTOR PROTEKTIF KESEHATAN MENTAL PADA REMAJA

Abstract


Abstrak: Kesehatan mental remaja merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan mereka, karena berdampak langsung pada kesejahteraan emosional, psikologis, dan sosial. Sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran remaja terhadap faktor risiko serta strategi dalam mengatasi masalah kesehatan mental agar mereka dapat menghadapi tantangan hidup dengan lebih baik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan soft skills peserta, khususnya dalam hal pemahaman tentang kesehatan mental, kemampuan mengelola stres, serta keberanian untuk mencari bantuan jika menghadapi masalah psikologis. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah ceramah, di mana peserta diberikan pemaparan mengenai faktor risiko yang dapat memengaruhi kesehatan mental remaja, seperti tekanan akademik dan masalah interpersonal. Selain itu, juga disampaikan berbagai strategi untuk mengelola stres dan cara mencari bantuan profesional jika dibutuhkan. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 35 siswa SMA, yang menjadi target utama dalam upaya peningkatan kesadaran dan keterampilan dalam menjaga kesehatan mental mereka. Evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket untuk menilai pemahaman peserta terhadap materi, manfaat kegiatan, serta perubahan sikap mereka terhadap strategi pengelolaan stres dan keberanian dalam mencari bantuan. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 88,5%, peningkatan kesadaran akan manfaat sosialisasi sebesar 88,5%, peningkatan komitmen dalam menerapkan strategi mengelola stres sebesar 80%, dan peningkatan keberanian untuk mencari bantuan jika mengalami masalah kesehatan mental sebesar 71,4%.

Abstract: Adolescent mental health is an important aspect of their development, as it has a direct impact on emotional, psychological and social well-being. This socialization aims to increase adolescents' awareness of risk factors and coping strategies for mental health problems so that they can better face life's challenges. The aim of this activity is to improve participants' soft skills, especially in terms of understanding mental health, ability to manage stress, and courage to seek help if facing psychological problems. The method used in this activity was lecture, where participants were exposed to risk factors that can affect adolescents' mental health, such as academic pressure and interpersonal problems. Strategies to manage stress and how to seek professional help if needed were also presented. This activity was attended by 35 high school students, who became the main target in an effort to increase awareness and skills in maintaining their mental health. Evaluation of the activity was carried out using a questionnaire to assess participants' understanding of the material, the benefits of the activity, as well as changes in their attitudes towards stress management strategies and courage in seeking help. Based on the evaluation results, there was an increase in understanding by 88.5%, an increase in awareness of the benefits of socialization by 88.5%, an increase in commitment to implementing stress management strategies by 80%, and an increase in courage to seek help if experiencing mental health problems by 71.4%.
