PEMBERDAYAAN PETANI MELALUI SMART FARMING BERBASIS IOT UNTUK PERTANIAN BERKELANJUTAN

Abstract


Abstrak: Kawasan pertanian organik di Paloh Naga, Desa Denai Lama, masih menghadapi kendala dalam pengendalian hama secara ramah lingkungan dan terbatasnya pemanfaatan teknologi pertanian berbasis data. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberdayakan kelompok tani melalui penerapan sistem Smart Farming berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), yang mencakup alat pengendali hama otomatis, sensor Automatic Weather Station (AWS), dan platform Teman Tani Menanam (TTM). Metode kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan lapangan kepada lima kelompok tani yang diwakili 25 orang petani. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui angket, observasi, dan wawancara. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman teknologi sebesar 87%, serta efektivitas alat dalam menurunkan serangan hama hingga 60% pada lahan uji. Sistem AWS juga membantu petani mengatur waktu pemupukan dan menekan biaya produksi. Kegiatan ini membuktikan bahwa adopsi teknologi presisi dapat diterapkan secara adaptif di kawasan pertanian edukatif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract: Organic farming areas in Paloh Naga, Denai Lama Village, still face challenges in implementing environmentally friendly pest control and utilizing data-driven agricultural technology. This community engagement program aims to empower farmer groups through the application of Smart Farming systems based on the Internet of Things (IoT), including an automatic pest control device, an Automatic Weather Station (AWS), and the Teman Tani Menanam (TTM) platform. The activities included socialization, training, and on-site assistance for five farmer groups, represented by 25 farmers. Evaluation was conducted through questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The results showed an 87% increase in technological understanding and up to 60% reduction in pest attacks on test plots. The AWS system also helped farmers optimize fertilization timing and reduce production costs. This initiative demonstrates that precision technology adoption can be effectively applied in educational and sustainable farming areas.
