PEMANFAATAN SUMBER NUTRISI LOKAL (TOMAT) SEBAGAI UPAYA PENCEGAHAN ANEMIA MENUJU DESA BEBAS STUNTING
Abstract
Abstract: Anemia in adolescent girls and pregnant women is closely related to an increased risk of stunting in children, because iron deficiency can inhibit fetal growth and development. In Guntarano Village, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi, the prevalence of anemia and stunting is still high, so anemia prevention is an important step in reducing the risk of stunting in the future. The purpose of this service activity is to increase the knowledge and awareness of adolescents, pregnant women, and cadres regarding anemia prevention through education and the use of local nutritional sources. The activity was carried out on September 4 and 14, 2025 with the involvement of 30 respondents (pregnant women, teenagers, and cadres) as well as the support of the village government. The implementation method uses an education and community empowerment approach, including health checks, anemia education, grants of Easy Touch and juicer tools, and a campaign to use tomatoes as a source of local nutrition rich in iron and vitamin C. Evaluation was carried out using Pre-Test and Post-Test methods using questionnaires to measure changes in knowledge. The results showed that 85% of the participants had increased knowledge about anemia. It is recommended that early detection of anemia be carried out routinely and the use of local plants such as tomatoes continues to be socialized to support the prevention of anemia and reduce the risk of stunting.
