Abstract

Abstract: The teenage years are a crucial phase for the development of healthy lifestyle behaviors, including an understanding of reproductive health. However, adolescent reproductive health literacy remains low due to limited access to healthcare services and the dominance of information from social media or peers. This community service program aimed to improve adolescent reproductive health literacy through interactive digital comics tailored to teenagers’ characteristics. Activities involved 50 adolescents at a high school in Meulaboh, West Aceh, through stages of preparation and socialization, training, digital comic implementation, mentorship, and evaluation. Literacy improvement was measured using validated pre-test and post-test questionnaires. Results showed a significant increase in the proportion of adolescents with ‘good’ literacy, rising from 46% to 86%, with the ‘poor’ category decreasing from 12% to 4%. This program demonstrates that interactive digital comics effectively enhance adolescents’ knowledge and confidence in discussing reproductive health issues, while supporting school-based health promotion efforts.
