PELATIHAN ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN VENTILATOR DAN TRAKEOSTOMI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KOMPETENSI PERAWAT ICU
Abstract
Abstract: Nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of patients who depend on ventilators and tracheostomies. However, interviews with ICU nurses at PKU Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital revealed that there is still a need to improve their competence in managing these critical patients. This community service activity aimed to improve nurses' hard skills and soft skills in the application of care for patients with ventilators and tracheostomies. The training was conducted in the form of a one-day workshop using interactive lectures, discussions, and hands-on practice (skill stations). The activity was attended by 43 ICU nurses. Evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test instruments to assess the improvement in participants' knowledge and skills. The analysis results showed an average increase of 44.42 points after the training. These findings indicate that the training activity was effective in strengthening the competence of ICU nurses in caring for patients with ventilators and tracheostomies.
