Abstract

Abstrak: Optimalisasi bonus demografi kedua memerlukan persiapan penuaan aktif (active ageing) sejak dini agar lansia tetap produktif. Pengabdian ini bertujuan mewujudkan “Lansia SMART” melalui pembentukan dan pemberdayaan kader Bina Keluarga Lansia (BKL) serta edukasi kesehatan. Pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang terdiri dari; Focus Group Discussion (FGD), pembentukan Poktan BKL melalui legitimasi kebijakan lokal (SK Wali Nagari), pelatihan kader berjumlah 15 orang serta edukasi kesehatan tentang hipertensi dan deteksi dini gagal ginjal kronik yang diikuti oleh kader BKL dan 16 orang lansia. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader dan lansia yang terukur melalui skor pre-test dan post-test. Evaluasi akhir melalui observasi mengonfirmasi bahwa kader mampu menyelenggarakan penyuluhan yang komunikatif, serta efektifnya senam lansia dalam meningkatkan kebugaran dan dukungan keluarga. Program pendampingan ini terbukti sukses meningkatkan kapasitas kader dan kualitas hidup lansia secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract: Optimizing the second demographic bonus requires early preparation for active aging so that older adults remain productive. This community service program aims to create “SMART Older Adults” through the formation and empowerment of the Elderly Family Development (BKL) cadre and health education. The implementation uses a participatory approach consisting of Focus Group Discussions (FGD), the formation of BKL groups through local policy legitimization (SK Wali Nagari), training for 15 cadres, and health education on hypertension and early detection of chronic kidney failure, which was attended by BKL cadres and 16 elderly people. The evaluation results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres and elderly people, as measured by pre-test and post-test scores. The final evaluation through observation confirmed that the cadres were able to conduct communicative counseling and that elderly exercises were effective in improving fitness and family support. This assistance program has proven successful in increasing the capacity of cadres and the quality of life of elderly people in a sustainable manner.
