EDUKASI PEMILIHAN JURUSAN DAN PENEMUAN PASSION BAGI SISWA SMA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN LITERASI KARIER MELALUI WEBINAR NASIONAL UNLOCK YOUR FUTURE
Abstract
Abstract: The background of this activity stems from the high level of confusion among students in choosing their university majors, which is influenced by limited information regarding their interests, talents, and future career prospects. This community service activity aims to help high school students discover their passion and determine suitable university majors while simultaneously improving soft skills (self-reflection, decision-making, and career planning) and hard skills (understanding of study programs, career prospects, and workforce competency requirements) through structured education based on psychology, career exploration, and self-development. This activity was conducted in the form of a national webinar titled “Unlock Your Future,” featuring four speakers from psychology, education, industry practice, and academia. A total of 89 participants attended the activity and completed pre-tests and post-tests, each consisting of 8 questions, to assess the improvement in participants’ understanding. The post-test results showed an average improvement of 42% in participants’ understanding of passion discovery, major selection, and the concept of ikigai. Satisfaction evaluation indicated that 92% of participants felt that the activity helped them better recognize their potential. Therefore, this webinar contributes to improving high school students’ career literacy through psychological, practical, and inspirational approaches.
