Abstract

Abstract: Mental health problems among adolescents, particularly stress, anxiety, and depression, are increasing and require promotive and preventive efforts in the school setting. This activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge of stress, anxiety, and depression through a psychoeducation program implemented in a private senior high school. The activity was designed using a pre-test and post-test format involving 22 participants. The intervention was delivered through educational sessions, group discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. The evaluation was conducted using a 15-item knowledge questionnaire. The results showed that the mean knowledge score increased from 45.48% in the pre-test to 72.76% in the post-test. The proportion of participants in the good knowledge category also increased from 4.55% to 63.64%, whereas in that the poor knowledge category declined from 59.09% to 4.55%. These findings indicate that psychoeducation is a promising approach for improving adolescents’ understanding of their basic mental health. This activity highlights the importance of school-based mental health education programs as an initial step in preventing psychological problems among adolescents and underscores the need for further program development and evaluation to assess the sustainability of its impact.
