Abstract

Abstract: The integration of educational facilities within tourist attractions is an innovative strategy that enhances recreational value and expands educational functions by providing interactive learning experiences that are easily accessible to visitors. This community service activity aims to implement QR Code-based e-modules and improve the skills of visitor guides at the Sengkaling Recreation Park Energy Post of the University of Muhammadiyah Malang (TRS UMM) in visitor guidance management. The main problem faced is the high number of visitors that is not proportional to the number of guides, so the educational process does not run optimally. The approach used for this activity was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involved one manager and six visitor guides from the TRS UMM Energy Post at every stage of the activity. The evaluation system was conducted through participatory observation, measuring success indicators such as the guides’ level of understanding regarding the use of e-modules, their ability to provide technical guidance, the availability of e-modules, and visitors’ access to the e-modules. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in the mentors’ capabilities, with 83% of them able to understand and implement e-module-based mentoring. In addition, the mentors were also able to provide technical guidance to visitors. This activity produced two e-modules integrated with QR codes in educational materials. The implementation of this system also encouraged independent learning among visitors, with e-module access rates reaching 60%.
