EFEKTIVITAS PENYULUHAN AGROFORESTRI JAMBU METE BERBASIS PERHUTANAN SOSIAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN KAPASITAS KELOMPOK TANI HUTAN
Abstract
Abstract: The Forest Farmer Group (KTH) Fetomnasi faces various in developing social forestry-based agroforestry systems, including limited knowledge of agroforestry management, dryland management, post-harvest processing, and institutional strengthening. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and understanding of group members regarding the development of chasew agroforestry under a social forestry scheme. The program was implemented through program orientation and extension activities involving 23 members of KTH Fetomnasi in Kupang Regency. The training materials covered cashew agroforestry development, dryland management, post-harvest processing, value-added product development, and strengthening farmer group institutions. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test and post-test instruments. The results showed that the average participant score increased from 80.9 in the pre-test to 92.2 in the post-test, representing a 14.0% increase. A total of 69.6% of participants archieved higher scores after the training, while no participant experienced a decline. These findings indicate that the extension activities were effective in enhancing participants’ capacity for managing social forestry-based agroforestry.
