Abstract

Abstract: Immunization programs are a key public health intervention for preventing vaccine-preventable diseases, yet cold chain vaccine management at Independent Midwifery Practices (TPMB), including those affiliated with the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI) West Jakarta Branch, is still recorded manually on paper, making real-time monitoring of vaccine temperature and stock difficult. This community service activity aimed to improve midwives' knowledge and skills in digitalizing vaccine data storage using the Extended e-iANC application. Seven midwives from six TPMB were trained on the “Vaccine Data Management” module of the Extended e-iANC system. The event was held at Universitas Esa Unggul on June 18, 2026. The training included material delivery, application demonstration, and practical sessions, with effectiveness evaluated using a one-group pretest-posttest design and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test (α = 0.05). Results showed the participants' average knowledge score increased from 88.57 ± 11.44 at pretest to 98.57 ± 3.78 at posttest, with a p-value of 0.027 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant improvement in knowledge following the training. The decreased standard deviation also indicated more uniform understanding among participants. This practice-based training effectively improved midwives' readiness to adopt digital technology to support more accurate and integrated vaccine data management at TPMB.
