Abstract

Abstrak: Hipertensi dalam kehamilan menjadi salah satu penyumbang utama kematian ibu dan bayi, sehingga upaya deteksi dini berbasis masyarakat perlu diperkuat melalui penguatan kapasitas kader kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan serta keterampilan kader dalam mencegah dan mendeteksi secara dini hipertensi pada kehamilan. Metode yang ditempuh berupa penyuluhan disertai pendampingan praktik bagi 4 kader kesehatan di salah satu kelurahan di Kota Gorontalo. Penilaian dilakukan dengan kuesioner 10 butir (pretest-posttest) serta lembar observasi untuk menilai kemampuan kader mengukur tekanan darah, menimbang berat badan, dan memeriksa proteinuria. Skor rata-rata pengetahuan kader naik dari 61,25 menjadi 91,25, atau meningkat 48,98% secara relatif, sementara capaian keterampilan kader dalam deteksi dini hipertensi kehamilan mencapai 100%. Dengan capaian tersebut, kader semakin siap berperan sebagai sumber daya kesehatan komunitas yang mendukung deteksi dini serta edukasi ibu hamil secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract: Hypertension during pregnancy remains a leading contributor to maternal and infant death, so community-based early detection needs to be strengthened by building the capacity of health cadres. This community service program was intended to strengthen cadres’ knowledge and practical skills for preventing and detecting hypertension in pregnancy at an early stage. The program combined counseling with hands-on mentoring for four cadres in, one of the village of Gorontalo City. A 10-item questionnaire was applied as a pretest and posttest, complemented by direct observation of cadres’ ability to measure blood pressure, record body weight, and test for proteinuria. The average knowledge score rose from 61.25 to 91.25, a relative gain of 48.9%, while all cadres reached 100% competence in performing the early-detection procedures. These outcomes strengthened cadres’ position as sustainable community health resources able to support ongoing early detection and education for pregnant women.
