PENGUATAN LITERASI DIGITAL DAN ETIKA DIGITAL ANTI-CYBERBULLYING UNTUK KESEJAHTERAAN MENTAL REMAJA
Abstract
Abstract: This community service initiative was motivated by the rising incidence of suicide among adolescents in Bali, largely attributed to psychological pressures. Adolescence represents a critical transition toward adulthood, during which individuals spend significant time within the school environment and undergo identity formation. However, schools can also become sites of violence due to differences in students' perspectives. The objective of this community service is to strengthen digital literacy as a form of soft skills development, particularly in communication, based on the understanding that the internet, in addition to serving as an information source, also function as a medium of communication among adolescents through social media. A lack of digital ethics in social media use has contributed to the rise of cyberbullying, which in turn has led to severe psychological distress and, in some cases, loss of life. The location for the activity was SMK Pariwisata Triatma Jaya, a vocational high school that prepares students for careers in the tourism industry. The method employed was a lecture-based approach, integrated with interactive games to enhance engagement. The outcomes of the initiative included not only an increased awareness of anti-bullying digital literacy also a heightened consciousness among students regarding the importance of practicing ethical behavior online to prevent cyberbullying. The Success activity is measured by pre-test and post-test consisting of 10 questions. An improvement in post-test scores is shown by 96 of 120 students achieving a score more than 80 points. These results suggest that the intervention effectively supported efforts to prevent psychological violence within the school environment and provided students with foundational skills critical for their future success in the tourism industry.
